It shall be unlawful for a person in control of property to operate, cause to be operated, or permit the operation of an alarm system on that property in the county unless a current permit has been obtained from HCSD. Failure to secure a permit within ten days of installation (including installation of a new alarm system by a different vendor) will constitute violation of this chapter; provided, however, a person in control of property which has an alarm system existing at the time this chapter is enacted shall have 90 days from the effective date of this chapter to obtain a permit.
