(A) The War Memorial Commission shall endeavor to arrange for and supervise the maintenance of the grounds and the structure of the war memorial constructed under the provision of KRS 97.630 to 97.780. The war memorial shall commemorate the valorous and patriotic deeds and service of the soldiers and sailors of the city and county, who were engaged in the army and navy of the United States during the World War of 1914 through 1918, the World War of 1941 through 1945, the Korean and Viet Nam conflicts, and other international armed conflicts in which the United States participated.
(B) The Commission shall adopt a fiscal year that shall be the same as that of the city. The Commission shall submit an annual report to the Mayor and the City Council.
