§ 116.05 DURATION OF FRANCHISE.
   (A)   Any franchise granted under this chapter shall not exceed ten years.
   (B)   The franchisee's rights under any franchise created by this chapter terminate when the franchise terminates, whether by passage of time or otherwise. The franchisee's obligations to the city shall survive the termination of the franchise until the franchisee's cable system is removed from the rights-of-way or acquired by the city or as required in HCO Chapter 100. Further, franchisee shall remain obligated to indemnify and insure the city against harm for any act or omission occurring prior to the date the facilities are removed or acquired by the city or as required in HCO Chapter 100.
