§ 71.01 GRADE OF TRACK AT SPECIFIED CROSSINGS ESTABLISHED.
   (A)   The calls hereafter set forth are adopted as indicating and establishing the exact and permanent grade of the track of the Louisville and Nashville Railroad Company along its entire length in the city. The Louisville and Nashville Railroad Company is notified that the track must not, at any point in the city, be raised above the grade as herein established.
   (B)   The grade is as follows:
      (1)   First street crossing. West rail of main track, stands 2.05 feet above the top of fireplug, corner Second and Railroad streets;
      (2)   Second street crossing. West rail of main track, stands 1.02 feet above the top of fireplug, corner Second and Railroad streets;
      (3)   Third street crossing. West rail of main track, stands 1.56-1/2 feet above the top of fireplug, corner Second and Railroad streets;
      (4)   Fourth street crossing. West rail of main track, stands 5.22 feet above the top of fireplug, corner Fourth and Clay streets;
      (5)   Fifth street crossing. West rail of main track, stands 4.04 feet above the top of fireplug, corner Fifth and Clay streets;
      (6)   Sixth street crossing. West rail of main track, stands 4.12 feet above the top of fireplug, corner Seventh and Clay streets;
      (7)   Seventh street crossing. West rail of main track stands 3.96 feet above the top of fireplug, corner Seventh and Clay streets;
      (8)   Eighth street crossing. West rail of main track, stands 7.37 feet above the top of fireplug, corner Eighth and Clay streets;
      (9)   Ninth street crossing. West rail of main track, stands 3.10 feet above the top of fireplug, corner Ninth and Clay streets. West rail of switch at Ninth Street crossing stands 2.79 feet above the top of fireplug, corner Ninth and Clay streets;
      (10)   Tenth street crossing. West rail of main track, stands 2.73 feet above the top of fireplug, corner Eleventh and Clay streets;
      (11)   Eleventh street crossing. West rail of main track, stands 2.20 feet above the top of fireplug, corner Eleventh and Clay streets;
      (12)   Twelfth street crossing. West rail of main track, stands 7.23 feet below top of fireplug, corner Eleventh and Campbell streets;
      (13)   Thirteenth street crossing. West rail of main track, stands 10.02 feet below top of fireplug, corner Thirteenth and Campbell streets; and
      (14)   Fourteenth street crossing. West rail of main track, stands .27 feet above top of fireplug, corner Fourteenth and Clay streets. West rail of each switch at Fourteenth street crossing stands .32 feet above the top of fireplug, corner Fourteenth and Clay streets. West rail of west switch at Fourteenth Street crossing stands .36 feet above the top of fireplug, corner Fourteenth and Clay streets.
   (C)   It shall be unlawful for any person to change the grade of any street, alley or sidewalk at any point; change the grade of any street crossing in the city as now established; or change the grade as now established of any railroad track where same crosses any street, sidewalk or alley in the city, without the consent of the City Council.

§ 71.02 WATCHPERSONS, MECHANICAL LIGHTS OR SIGNALS TO BE PROVIDED BY RAILROAD AT SPECIFIED CROSSINGS.
   It shall be the duty of the railroad company operating a line of railroad intersecting the streets of the city at the following crossings: 1st Street, 2nd Street, 4th Street, 7th Street, 9th Street, 14th Street, 17th Street, Country Club Lane Extension and Lafayette Road, to provide at all hours, both night and day, a watchperson or guard or mechanical lights or signals, to warn all persons of the approach of the train.

§ 71.03 BLOCKING GRADE CROSSINGS PROHIBITED.
   It shall be unlawful for any person owning, operating, controlling or using any railroad locomotive, railroad car or coach in the city to permit any such locomotive, car, train or coach, to stand or remain upon any railroad track, switch or spur track upon any street, alley or public way within the city, so as to obstruct or impede the free use of the streets, alleys or public ways for a longer period than five minutes at a time.

§ 71.04 UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS PROHIBITED FROM BOARDING TRAINS WHILE IN MOTION.
   It shall be unlawful for any person to jump on or off any car or train of cars while in motion or passing to and fro through the city limits, except an employee of the railroad company.

§ 71.05 DEPOT PLATFORM MUST BE UNOBSTRUCTED.
   Upon the arrival and departure of passenger trains, and while the trains may be standing at any depot in the city that part of the depot platform, 16 feet wide, and running parallel with and next to the railroad track, shall be kept open, free and unobstructed for the convenience and accommodation of persons entering and leaving the cars and for the transaction of business for the benefit of the public.

§ 71.06 SOLICITING ON DEPOT PLATFORMS PROHIBITED.
   It shall be unlawful to solicit business of any kind on the depot platforms of the city.
