§ 33.271 MEMBERSHIP.
   The Commission shall be composed of 13 voting members, which shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to City Council approval. The Mayor shall designate the initial Chairperson of the Commission. Each member must be a current small business owner within the city, with a current and valid city business license. For purposes of this section, “small business” is defined as a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, or other business entity with less than 100 employees. In addition to the appointed members of the Commission, the Commission shall also include a designee of the Hopkinsville/Christian County Chamber of Commerce, who will serve as an ex-officio, non- voting member. The initial appointment of Commission members shall be for the following terms:
   (A)   Five members appointed for four years;
   (B)   Four members appointed for three years;
   (C)   Four members appointed for two years; and
   (D)   All subsequent appointments shall be for a term of two years.
