(A) Application for gas service shall be made at the general business office of the Commission. A service fee for each applicable service shall be charged to each new customer and to existing customers moving to a new location within the service area.
(B) The Commission shall charge service and/or connection fees for each metered customer added to the gas system, unless otherwise agreed to by the Commission. Connection fees for all new construction shall be due and payable at the time the permit for connecting the structure to the outside natural gas service is issued. No such permit shall be issued unless the connection fee is paid first. The Commission’s General Manager shall establish a fee and security deposit schedule for various connections and classifications of customers. The fee and security deposit schedule shall be approved by the Sewerage and Water Commission Board and printed in the approved minutes.
(C) Connection fees are not charged where existing services are being replaced unless such replacement results in an increase of meter size in which case a fee is charged equal to the difference between the connection fees for the original meter size and the fee for the new meter size.
(D) Customers that have an existing service line up to their premises will only have to apply for proper permit and pay the connection fee. Add-ons to present meters will be limited to permit and connection fee requirements. Customers' requests for relocation of mains, service lines, meters, or other services will be honored by the gas division. Property owners or contractors will be charged total costs for this type work, plus 15%.
