§ 160.02 DEFINITIONS.

   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.

   CERTIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT. A government meeting the requirements of the National Historic Preservation Amendments Act of 1980 (Pub. Law No. 96-515) and the implementing regulations of the U.S. Department of the Interior and the state’s Heritage Council.

   COMMISSION. The Hopkinsville Historic Preservation Commission.

   DEMOLITION. Any act that destroys in whole or in part a landmark or a building or structure in a historic district.

   HISTORIC DISTRICT. An area meeting one or more of the criteria contained in § 160.20(F).

   LANDMARK. A building or structure meeting one or more of the criteria contained in § 160.20(F).
