(A) Property owner or property owner’s designee in charge of a landmark or a property in a historic district shall keep in good repair all of the exterior portions of such buildings or structures; thereof which, if not so maintained, may cause the buildings or structures to deteriorate or to become damaged or otherwise to fall into a state of disrepair.
(B) The Commission may request that action be taken to require correction of defects in any building or structure designated under this chapter so that such building or structure shall be preserved in accordance with the purpose of this chapter and the standards adopted pursuant to § 160.21. All structures must maintain a level of maintenance which existed on the date the designation for the area was adopted.
(C) The provision of this section shall be in addition to the provisions of the state’s Building Code requiring the buildings and structures to be kept in good repair.
