(A) The within organization shall continue in perpetuity, but may be dissolved by majority vote of the Board of Directors, or by ordinance, or by resolution duly adopted by either the City Council of the City of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, or the Fiscal Court of Christian County, Kentucky. In the event of the dissolution, the museum may continue operation as either a city or a county museum and the members of the Board of Directors appointed by the Mayor of the City of Hopkinsville or the County Judge Executive, as the case might be, shall comprise the Board of Directors of the same. In the event of dissolution, all properties and funds in the possession of the Board shall be turned over to any successor Museum Board and all contracts and obligations shall be assumed by the successor.
(B) In the event of complete and absolute dissolution by both governing bodies, all properties held in trust by the museum shall be returned to their rightful owners and artifacts and other property donated to the museum shall be returned, if possible, to the original donor, his or her family.
