§ 33.221 BOARD OF DIRECTORS; APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS.
   The Board of Directors shall consist of not less than 12 members, ten to be chosen by the Mayor of the City of Hopkinsville and one to be chosen by the Judge of Christian County, Kentucky and the official City/County Historian being appointed ex officio. Should there be no official City/County Historian, the County Judge of Christian County shall appoint two members to the Board of Directors. Persons appointed by the County Judge of Christian County shall be residents of the county, but may reside in an incorporated area in the county, including the City of Hopkinsville. One City Council representative and one County Magistrate representative shall be appointed by the Mayor and Judge Executive, respectively. They shall serve as ex-officio voting members of the Board of Directors. Except as provided immediately hereafter, the term of office of each member shall be four years and until his or her successor is selected and qualified. The terms of office of the initial Board of Directors shall be determined as follows: The ten appointees of the Mayor of the City of Hopkinsville shall draw lots for the determining of the length of their respective terms of office and three Directors shall be selected for a term of four years and three for a term of three years and three for a term of two years and one for a term of one year. The one appointee of the Christian County Judge Executive shall serve a period of four years.
