§ 150.02 STANDARDS OF SAFETY ADOPTED BY REFERENCE; ENFORCEMENT.
   (A)   The Kentucky Standards of Safety (Fire Prevention Code) as promulgated in 815 KAR 10:060 by the Commissioner of the Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction on the advice and recommendation of the state’s Fire Marshal, are hereby adopted by reference as an ordinance of the city. Copies of the code book are available through the Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction.
   (B)   The Mayor, by executive order, shall appoint local enforcement officers.
   (C)   The requirements for permits are provided for in the Kentucky Standards of Safety. No fees are authorized for issuing any permit.
   (D)   All final decisions of the fire code official of the city, shall be appealable to a local appeal board pursuant to the procedures adopted by the City Council.
   (E)   Nothing in this section or in the Kentucky Standards of Safety hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding pending in any court, or any rights required, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing, under any act or ordinance hereby repealed as cited in division (B) of this section; nor shall any just or legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired, or affected by this section.
