§ 33.176 MEMBERSHIP; CHAIRPERSON.
   (A)   The Television Cable Oversight Authority shall consist of seven members who shall all be residents of Christian County and all members shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. Each member must become, within 30 days after appointment or the availability of cable service, a subscriber to a cable communications system holding a franchise in the city. One member shall be a Council member, who shall serve a term of one year. Every other member shall serve a term of four years; provided, however, that, appointments to the first authority shall be as follows: Two members shall serve a term of four years; two members shall serve a term of three years; two members shall serve a term of two years; and one member shall serve a term of one year, respectively. Any vacancy in the office shall be filled by appointment of the Mayor and approval of the Council for the remainder of the term.
   (B)   No employee or person with any ownership interest in any cable television franchise granted by the city, or relative thereof, shall be eligible for membership on the Authority. The Authority shall annually select from among its number a chairperson who shall preside over the meetings.
