For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
DEPARTMENT. The Department of Public Works.
DIRECTOR. The Director of Public Works.
WATER CONNECTION.
(1) The part of the water distribution system connecting the water main with the premises served.
(2) The connection ends at the curb box, provided, however, that the water meter shall be the property of the village.
WATER MAIN. The part of the water distribution system located within easement lines or streets designed to supply more than one water connection.
