The improvements provided for under this chapter shall be designed by a registered professional engineer prior to final plat approval. Installation of improvements shall be to specifications of the village and under inspection by the Village Engineer. If in any instance the village should decide that it is necessary to install a larger water main or sewer or greater width of street, the village will bear the difference between the cost of the materials originally required by the village and the cost of the material resulting from the increase in size to meet the larger standard.
