§ 72.141 PROVIDED BY NONGOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES.
   (A)   Any business, firm or other person licensed to do business with the public may provide specially designed and marked motor vehicle parking spaces for the exclusive use of physically disabled persons who have been issued parking permits pursuant to F.S. § 320.0848, as amended from time to time.
   (B)   Each such parking space shall conform to the requirements of § 72.140 and shall be posted and maintained with a permanent sign bearing the internationally accepted wheelchair symbol and the caption “PARKING BY DISABLED PERMIT ONLY,” with the fine for violating this section so noted on the sign.
   (C)   (1)   It is unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park a vehicle within any such specially designated and marked parking space or access aisle provided in accordance with this chapter unless such vehicle displays a parking permit issued pursuant to F.S. § 320.0848, as amended from time to time, and such vehicle is transporting a person eligible for the parking permit.
      (2)   Whenever a law enforcement officer or a parking enforcement specialist finds a vehicle in violation of this section, that officer shall charge the operator or other person in charge of the vehicle in violation with a parking infraction, punishable as provided in § 72.999. However, any person who is chauffeuring a disabled person shall be allowed, without need for an identification parking permit, momentary parking in any such parking space for the purpose of loading or unloading such disabled person. No penalty shall be imposed upon the driver for such momentary parking.
