The general agent, architect, builder, contractor, owner or tenant, or any other person who commits, takes part in or assists in any violation of this chapter, or who maintains any premises in which any violation of this chapter shall exist, shall for each and every violation, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not exceeding $100 or by imprisonment not exceeding 30 days, or both.
