§ 155.50 INTENT; PURPOSE.
The intent of this subchapter is to improve the appearance of certain public rights-of-way and to protect and preserve the appearance, character and value of the surrounding neighborhoods and thereby promote the public health, safety and general welfare by providing for installation and maintenance of street trees for screening, aesthetic and environmental qualities. The City Commission finds that the peculiar characteristics and qualities of the city justify regulations to perpetuate its aesthetic appeal on a city-wide basis. The requirements of this subchapter shall apply to all trees planted in the public swale area whether such planting is required or voluntary.
