§ 114.01 DEFINITION; GENERAL USE.
   (A)   For the purpose of this subchapter an AMBULANCE shall be defined as a motor vehicle constructed, reconstructed, or arranged for the purpose of transporting ill, sick, or injured persons. Each operator of an ambulance shall apply for and obtain the license as provided by this subchapter and shall be subject to the regulations prescribed by law and the provisions of this code.
   (B)   The use of an ambulance shall be limited to the transporting of ill, sick or injured persons and any medical supplies or medical equipment. Each such vehicle may not be used for transporting the remains of humans after official pronouncement of death, except in cases of extreme emergency.
