§ 106.51 VARIANCES.
The preservation of any tree may be considered as the basis for the granting of a variance from the literal application of the provisions of the city's zoning or subdivision regulations. If, in the determination of the Director of the Office of Planning, the sole basis for the request for a variance is to preserve any tree which would otherwise have to be removed, he or she may direct the required variance fee to be waived.
