(A) Each of the figures of each number shall be at least three inches in length, and so marked as to be easily and distinctly read.
(B) Numbers required by §§ 104.75 and 104.79 shall be placed on, above or immediately to the side of the door, or at some other and more conspicuous place on the front of the building. Owners or tenants of all houses and buildings using a service alley shall also post a number on the side of the buildings adjacent to and facing such house or alley. If the house or building is obscured by a fence then the number shall be posted on the fence. The placement of numbers on buildings or fences, as the case may be, shall be subject to the direction or approval of the City Engineer.
