§ 38.26 ACCOUNTS OF CITY OFFICIALS.
   Upon the death, resignation, removal or expiration of the term of any city officer, the Director of the Department of Financial Services shall audit his accounts; and if such officer shall be found to be indebted to the city, the Director shall immediately give notice thereof through the City Manager to the City Commission and to the City Attorney, who shall forthwith proceed to collect such indebtedness.
