For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
JUNK. Any personal property which is or may be salvaged for reuse, resale, reduction, or similar disposition, or which is possessed, transported, owned, collected, accumulated, dismantled, or assorted for any of the aforesaid purposes. No person, firm, partnership, corporation, or association of natural persons, incorporated or unincorporated, shall directly or indirectly, himself or herself or by his or her agent or employee, engage in the business of a junk dealer or junk gatherer within the corporate limits of the village without having first obtained a license therefor from the Village Council.
