§ 6.2 POLICE DEPARTMENT.
   (A)   The Council shall maintain adequate police protection to enforce all laws and ordinances which are in force in the Village to preserve the peace and the good order of the Village.
   (B)   The Village Council, with the advice of the Village Manager, shall select a Chief of Police who shall be head of the Police Department. The Chief of Police shall serve at the pleasure of the council.
