(A) The five members of the Board of Adjustments shall be appointed by the Town Council. Such members shall serve without compensation.
(B) Two alternate members of the Board of Adjustments shall be appointed by the Town Council. One or both alternates may serve in the absence of two or less regular members of the Board and are entitled to any and all regulations, restrictions and voting rights of the absent Board member or members.
(C) The Board of Adjustments term shall run concurrent with the Mayoral position.
(D) All cases shall always be heard by a minimum of four members, either regular or alternate.
(E) Action taken by the Board of Adjustments shall require notification in the official newspaper of the town 15 days prior to the meeting in which this action is taken. The Board of Adjustments shall abide by the Texas Open Meetings Act, being Tex. Gov’t Code, Chapter 551.
