(A) Short-hand designation. On the official zoning map and elsewhere in this chapter this district may be designated “R-1”.
(B) Purpose. This district includes all land which is used for residential purposes. This district is designated to protect these areas from uses not compatible with the residential character of the structures located in this district.
(C) Permitted uses. Single-family dwellings.
(D) Area requirements. All uses must be located on at least one of the lots depicted on the map or plat recorded in Volume 1605, Page 131 of the Deed Records of the county, and no lot may be subdivided to have smaller dimensions than those reflected for it on said map or plat.
