§ 30.05 BUILDING OFFICIAL.
   (A)   Appointment and term of office. The Town Council hereby creates the office of Building Official and will appoint an individual to be the Building Official of the town, to serve at the pleasure of the Town Council.
   (B)   Duties and responsibilities of Building Official. The duties and responsibilities of the Building Official of the town shall include, but not limited to, viz:
      (1)   Administer and implement all acts necessary to carry out the provisions of Chapter 151 of this code, the flood damage prevention ordinance of the town; and
      (2)   Do and perform all other acts that may be imposed upon such building official by ordinance or resolution which are directly related to the office of Building Official.
   (C)   Compensation and expenses. The Building Official of the town shall receive such compensation, if any, for services as may hereafter be prescribed by a majority vote of the Town Council present and voting at any regular or special meeting and shall be reimbursed for authorized expenditures incurred on behalf of the town.
   (D)   Bond. The Town Council hereby fixes and prescribes the bond and security to be given by the Building Official of said town as a bond in the amount of $1,000 with good and sufficient corporate surety to be approved by the Mayor of said town, and payable to the town.
