§ 5-904  NOTIFICATION OF OWNER.
   Upon removal of such vehicle, the Chief of Police shall notify the owner thereof of such impoundment and that the same may be redeemed by the owner upon payment of the lien for removal and storage charges at any time prior to the next public sale of abandoned property. Such notice shall be in writing, shall describe the vehicle with as much particularity as to year, make, model, color, body type, serial or identification number as is obtainable from any registration certificate attached to the vehicle or is obtainable upon reasonable inquiry from any County Clerk or County Treasurer if such vehicle bears a state license plate or is obtainable upon reasonable inquiry from any other state if such vehicle bears a license plate issued by another state or is reasonably obtainable from observation of the vehicle. Such notice shall advise the amount of removal charge and rate of accrual of storage charges and that it will be offered for sale at any time after 30 days from impoundment to satisfy the lien for such charges.
