Any person desiring to move any building shall show his or her permit to the Chiefs of the Police and Fire Departments. If for any reason any delay is occasioned by any unforeseen contingency, it is his or her duty to inform the Fire and Police Chiefs of such facts, to the end that the Fire and Police Chiefs may keep accurate and recent information on the true conditions of the streets and alleys for fire prevention and traffic purposes.
