(A) Adoption. The 2018 International Fire Code (IFC) developed by ICC is hereby adopted as the Fire Code regulating and governing the safeguarding of life and property from fire and explosion hazards arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the occupancy of buildings and premises as herein provided. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of the IFC are hereby referred to, adopted, incorporated and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this code with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in this subchapter.
(B) Effective date. The IFC shall become effective in the city on February 1, 2022.
(C) Copy on file. One copy of the IFC shall be on file in the office of the City Clerk for public use, inspection and examination.
