(A) Appointment; terms. There is hereby created a Board of Housing Appeals which shall consist of five members appointed by the Mayor subject to confirmation of the City Council. Original appointments shall be: one member shall be appointed to serve one year, two members to serve two years and two members to serve three years. Subsequent appointments shall be for three years.
(B) Actions of Board: This Board shall act by majority vote of the members present.
(C) Hold public hearings. The Board shall have the power and be required to hold public hearings in deciding appeals where it is alleged there is an error in law or fact in any order or decision of the city inspector in the enforcement of this subchapter.
