(A) Adoption. A certain document, at least one copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, being marked and designated as the 2009 International Residential Code (IRC) developed by ICC is hereby adopted as the Residential Code for One- and Two-Family Dwellings of the city for the control of buildings and structures as therein provided. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of the IRC are hereby referred to, adopted, incorporated and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this code with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in this subchapter.
(B) Effective date. The IRC shall take full force and effect on July 1, 1985.
