(A) Appointment. The Mayor, with consent of the City Council, shall appoint the city inspector. The city inspector may also hold other positions in the city government.
(B) Powers and duties. The city inspector shall have the powers and duties prescribed for the city inspector by this code and the building code. His or her powers and duties may be exercised by his or her authorized representatives under his or her supervision and control.
