(A) Adoption. The 2018 International Building Code (IBC) and the 2018 International Existing Building Code (IEBC) developed by ICC is hereby adopted as the Building Code of the city for the control of buildings and structures as therein provided. Each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of the IBC are hereby referred to, adopted, incorporated and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this code with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in this subchapter.
(B) Effective date. The IBC and IEBC shall become effective in the city on February 1, 2022.
(C) Copy on file. One copy of the IBC and IEBC shall be on file in the office of the City Clerk for public use, inspection and examination.
