§ 116.07 ACTION ON APPLICATION.
   (A)   Private officer. If the city, subject to the requirements of this chapter, finds the applicant eligible for a permit, the applicant shall be appointed as a private officer to serve in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
   (B)   Security company. If the city finds the security company eligible for a license, the applicant shall be so licensed in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
   (C)   Time limit for action. The city shall act on all applications, within 20 business days from the time of the filing of the applications.
   (D)   Temporary permit. Pending action by the city on applications, a temporary permit may be issued in a case where the delay in granting a permit would cause great and undue hardship on the applicant or employer.
   (E)   Carrying firearms. If the officer has not passed the firearms test, he or she shall not be permitted to carry a firearm, and the license or permit shall state whether the officer is permitted to carry firearms or not.
