A. Organization: This chapter shall govern the organization and operation of the municipal criminal court of the city, as put into operation by resolution duly passed on February 4, 1969, and filed in accordance with law as authorized by 11 Oklahoma Statutes sections 27-101 and 27-102. To the extent of conflict between any provisions of this chapter and the provisions of any ordinance of the city, the provisions of this chapter shall control. The court shall be operative on and after February 12, 1969. (1985 Code § 6-101)
B. Jurisdiction: The court shall exercise original jurisdiction to hear and determine all prosecutions wherein a violation of any ordinance of the city is charged, including any such prosecutions transferred to the court in accordance with applicable law. (1985 Code § 6-103)
