§ 98.10 IMPOUNDMENT; DISPOSAL; REDEMPTION FEES.
   (A)   Impoundment; redemption fees. All dogs found in violation of this chapter shall be impounded. Any impounded dog which has a current license on it shall be held five days, during which time the owner or keeper of such dog may redeem it upon payment of a fee of $20, plus $2 for each day of impoundment.
   (B)   Disposition of unlicensed or unredeemed dogs. Any unlicensed dog or dog not redeemed after five days of impoundment may be destroyed or given to any person who will at the time of adoption:
      (1)   Pay the permit license fee for such dog;
      (2)   Pay the cost to have such dog spayed or castrated; and
      (3)   Pay a fee of $10 plus $2 per day of impoundment.
