(A) Number of facilities. There shall be provided within the design of any secure facility adequate shower facilities with tempered water for use by the residents or incarcerates therein. Such facilities shall be provided as follows:
(1) General population housing. At least one shower for every eight beds;
(2) Segregation housing. At least one shower for every 15 beds; and
(3) Medical housing. At least one shower for every four beds.
(B) Application of provisions. These provisions shall apply to new facilities, and any additions, enlargements, or other modifications to existing facilities. Further, any existing secure facilities shall be brought into compliance with this chapter within six months of adoption hereof.
