(A) Permit. All grease transporters shall be required to obtain a permit annually from the City Clerk on a form to be provided by the enforcement officer.
(B) Pumping. It is the responsibility of the grease transporters to properly clean the grease interceptors as required by this chapter. The cleaning of the grease interceptor shall include the complete pump out of the contents of the grease interceptor. Decanting of the supernatant back into the interceptor will not be allowed. Discharging of the grease interceptor waste back into any part of the POTW or any privately owned sewer collection system is prohibited. The transporter will dispose of the grease interceptor waste in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations.
(C) Manifest. The manifest will be used to track the grease interceptor waste from the initial generation of the waste to the final disposal. It will be the responsibility of the transporter to oversee the manifest. A book of manifests will be issued to each transporter, which has been permitted, by the city. The transporter will ensure that all parts of the form are completed entirely. The transporter shall submit a copy of the manifest to the generator, the enforcement officer, and the disposal site. All generators and transporters shall keep a copy of each manifest on file for a period of three years.
