§ 57.04 NEW FACILITIES.
   From and after the effective date of this chapter, all newly constructed facilities shall be required to install and properly maintain, at their expense, an underground grease interceptor with a 500 gallon minimum storage capacity, unless a higher minimum capacity is determined to be necessary as hereinafter provided. The first compartment of such interceptor shall have a detention time of not less than 15 minutes at peak flow. The second compartment shall have a detention time of not less than five minutes at peak flow. The enforcement officer shall approve minimum sizing, installation, retrofitting and whether or not the grease interceptor is required to be over 500 gallons. All new facilities shall install a sampling port to allow the city to conveniently obtain samples directly from the interceptor.
