For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
GARBAGE. Includes all wastes, refuse and other matters considered to be garbage in the Kentucky Revised Statutes and the decisions of the state’s Court of Appeals.
SOLID WASTE. Garbage, refuse and other discarded solid materials, including solid waste materials resulting from industrial, commercial and agricultural operations and from community activities, but does not include solids or dissolved pollutants in water resources, such as silt, dissolved or suspended solids in industrial waste water effluents, dissolved materials in irrigation return flows or other common water pollutants.
SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL. The collection, storage/treatment, utilization and processing of final disposal of solid waste.
