§ 30.32 MAYOR.
The salary of the Mayor of the city is hereby established at 46% of the maximum allowable annual compensation of mayors of cities other than first class as determined by the Department for Local Government (DLG) each year. Nothing in this section shall prevent the legislative body, by majority vote, of reducing or forgoing an annual increase to a Mayor’s annual compensation to the lesser of 46% of DLG’s published maximum amount or any cost of living increase granted to city employees each year. No increase in allowable annual compensation shall be effective prior to the first day of the succeeding fiscal year or the adoption of an annual city budget, whichever is later, after publication of the DLG’s annual revision of maximum allowable compensation.
