§ 30.30 CLERK-TREASURER.
   (A)   There is created the office of City Clerk-Treasurer, in accordance with KRS 83A.080 and 83A.085.

   (B)   The duties and responsibilities of the Clerk-Treasurer shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
      (1)   Maintenance and safekeeping of the permanent records of the city;
      (2)   Performance of the duties required of the “official custodian” or “custodian” pursuant to KRS 61.870 to 61.884;
      (3)   Possession of the seal of the city, if used;
      (4)   Performance of all duties and responsibilities required of the City Clerk-Treasurer by statute, ordinance or order of the City Council;
      (5)   Receive and safely keep all money belonging to the city;
      (6)   Pay expenses, salaries and other legal debts of the city as directed by order of the City Council;
      (7)   Keep an accurate account of all receipts and disbursements, showing when, from whom and to whom, for what purpose and on what account all city funds were received or paid, and exhibit the account so kept; and
      (8)   Invest and reinvest city funds on behalf of the city.

   (C)   The oath to be executed by the Clerk-Treasurer shall be that as set forth in § 228 of the Constitution of the commonwealth.

   (D)   Before entering on the duties of this office, the Clerk-Treasurer shall execute bond to the city with a corporate surety authorized and qualified to become surety on bond in the state in the amount of $50,000 or as hereinafter set by the City Council.

   (E)   Compensation for the office of Clerk-Treasurer shall be in such amounts as set by the City Council.

   (F)   Personnel rules and regulations of the city shall apply to this office.
