(A) Reserve officers, not previously so qualified, within the first 12 months after their appointment, shall complete a basic police course of 120 hours that has been approved by the State Council of Law Enforcement Education and Training.
(B) Each reserve officer may be required to pay for his or her own training expenses.
(C) Reserve officers who have been appointed, but not yet completed the required training, must be accompanied by another officer who has been so certified, while performing law enforcement duties.
