§ 34.025 PURPOSE OF REVENUES.
   (A)   It is the purpose of the first and second cent sales taxes, levied by Ordinances 1011 and 1047, to provide revenues for the support of the functions of the municipal government of the city.
   (B)   It is the purpose of the revenues provided by the tax levied by Ordinance 1076 to provide revenues for the making of capital improvements to physical properties of the city, paying the costs and expenses of general and special purposes of the municipal government of the city, improving the water and sanitary sewer systems of the city, and the payment of the principal of and interest on indebtedness incurred by the city or any duly constituted authority thereof.

   Ordinance 1011, adopted May 28, 1968, levied the first one-cent tax effective July 1, 1968;
   Ordinance 1047, adopted May 25, 1976, levied a second one-cent tax; Ordinance 1076, adopted July 26, 1983, levied a third one-cent tax, ear-marked as provided herein.
