§ 91.54 ASSIGNMENT OF ROADWAY NAMES.
Existing roadway names shall be used when existing roadways are extended or when a new roadway extends in the same general direction and alignment of an existing roadway. When a new roadway is proposed during a subdivision request, the applicant shall provide roadway names for review by the city. A roadway name shall not be duplicated with that of an existing roadway name within the city or any surrounding township. Exceptions may be made when the roadway is in general alignment with an existing roadway and can be considered a continuation of the roadway by the city. Names with similar spellings, pronunciations or meanings may be considered duplications, and not allowed.
