The city shall be divided in the east and west directions by Old Hwy. 61 and in the north and south direction by Main Street. Street names shall be assigned a directional designation, such as north, south, east, west, northwest, southwest, northeast and southeast, based on the location of the roadway in relation to the dividing roadways. Each platted block or equivalent thereof shall be assigned 100 numbers which shall be progressive in both directions from the dividing roadways. All properties on the south and east side of the roadway shall be assigned even numbers. All properties on the north and west side of a roadway shall be assigned odd numbers. Structures with more than one tenant, regardless of the use (residential, commercial, industrial and the like) shall be assigned one address number and use unit, suite or apartment numbers or letters for each tenant. Addresses shall not be assigned to vacant lots.
