The city desires to maintain existing roadway names and property numbers, where practical, while providing a uniform and coherent system of naming and numbering future roadways and extensions of existing roadways and property subdivided in or annexed to the city. The addressing system also seeks to aid in location of individual properties by emergency services and to create uniformity within the city.
