§ 31.38 CITATION OFFICER.
   (A)   Duties. The Citation Officer shall be responsible for:
      (1)   Enforcing all of the requirements of any City of Hillview ordinance and all appropriate Kentucky Revised Statutes dealing with the protection of the public, except for offenses which constitute a violation of the Kentucky Penal Code or a moving motor vehicle offense.
      (2)   Maintaining all records relating to the operation of the Office.
      (3)   Filing any and all federal and/or state forms.
      (4)   Meeting with and answering questions from the public.
      (5)   Issuing a citation for violation of any applicable City of Hillview ordinance or Kentucky Revised Statute, and appearing at any scheduled court or administrative agency hearing concerning any citation.
      (6)   Report no less often than quarterly to the City Council on the activities of the Office.
   (B)   Qualifications. The applicant for the position of Citation Officer shall have graduated from high school or have a high school equivalency certificate, and be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, have no felony convictions, and be capable of reading, writing and communicating with the general public.
   (C)   Tenure. The person filling this position shall be employed and/or terminated by action of the Mayor.
   (D)   Compensation. The rate of compensation for the Citation Officer shall be a maximum of fourteen dollars ($14) per hour with a maximum number of hours per week of thirty (30).
