The driver of any taxicab shall, on request by the passenger, render to the passenger a receipt for the amount charged, either by a mechanically printed receipt or by a specially prepared receipt on which shall be the name of the owner of the taxicab, the taxicab number, the amount of meter reading and all charges, the date of transaction, the points of origination and destination, and the name of driver. This receipt shall be signed by the driver before being rendered to the passenger.
