§ 33.02 REQUEST FOR REPORTER; COMPENSATION.
   (A)   Upon the trial of the case in the Municipal Court, if either party to the suit, or his or her attorney, request the services of a court reporter, the Judge shall grant the request or the Judge may order a full report of the testimony or other proceedings, in which case the court reporters shall make a magnetic audio tape, or at the party’s expense and option, take accurate stenotype or shorthand notes of the oral testimony or other oral proceedings, which shall be filed in the office of the official court reporter and carefully preserved.
   (B)   Every court reporter shall receive as compensation, a per diem rate as set by ordinance from time to time, payable from the city treasury, together with any additional compensation agreed upon between the court reporter and the party or his or her attorney who requested the service of the court reporter.
